Fantastic view of Newport Harbor. We sat in the sun at the edge of the water. What a perfect spot! Interesting drinks. Fresh seafood. Highly recommend.

If you like sea food as much as me then this is one of the many places that cater to that need. The service is great and the atmosphere on the deck in the sun was the best overlooking the water and boats even ships as they are busy moving docking etc. The food is done well and has it's own twist on simple culinary. The seating is as simple but worked for me as I'm a big man .

My first time to Newport for a family wedding weekend. My wife and I were able to spend a Sat. Walking around the wharf. We decided on the Lobster Bar for lunch. I got the Lobster Roll and Clam Chowder. My wife ordered the crab/scallop/shrimp cakes. All three items were fantastic. Our server was excellent. The weather was perfect as we were able to sit outside right by the water. This experience was absolutely fantastic.

Excellent!!! We did one of those boat tours and this restaurant was highly recommended. Not being a seafood eater I had the burger and my friend got the lobster roll. The potato salad was to die for. That view !!! You couldn’t have asked for a better view. Our waitress Haylie was super friendly as well. I couldn’t believe how fast our food came out even though it was busy.

Fast service, nice servers, and great portions of food for the money. I had lobster in EVERY bite of my pasta. The sauce was delicious! I'm definitely going again!

This was our first meal in Newport, and we all loved it! The naked lobster roll was delicious. We love the seating right on the water, and the service was wonderful. A great welcome to Rhode Island :) would eat here again!

All food was excellent except for lister burger...very little lobster and it was overcooked and tasted like rubber

We celebrated my birthday with lunch at the Lobster Bar today, and it was absolutely wonderful! The views were gorgeous, creating the perfect backdrop. I had a delicious traditional lobster roll, my husband enjoyed the fisherman's platter, and our son loved his chicken tenders from the kids' menu. The food came out quickly and was super tasty. I also loved the designated stroller parking spot--so thoughtful! The drinks were great too. It was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to go back!

Sorry the review I posted 3 days ago was meant to be for Yankee lobster in Boston, I posted on the lobster bar by mistake, which was in Newport Rhodes island, I'm removing it now n write this new review on the lobster bar n posted this one you read 3 days ago on the correct restaurant. I asked Yelp to remove but I should have just edited now it's possible both reviews for lobster bar are here!!! We were in the lobster bar 11 years ago n we were very happy w the quality of the food but we had forgotten the name of the restaurant n asked the lady at the tourist information n she gave me the name but recommended another joint, Newport lobster shack pier9, I trusted her n walked 20 minutes to a deserted place w trailers where the lobster men come in n sell their lobster then had a tiny trailer called a restaurant, I was PO, I'll write a tip later so it won't happen to another person. We walked another 25 min to get to the lobster bar. It was located in the beautiful Bowen wharf, so quaint like in a fairy tale movie or back to the pilgrims day. The restaurant patio was right at the end of the pier w a spectacular view. The lobster bisque was so delicious but I had sticker shock to find out the lobster sandwich was $48 for 1.25 lbs I thought it was exorbitant but on the other hand there's Brandon skyrocketing inflation n the view is amazing and they have the one n only restaurant w a view. That is the reason I take away 1 star, it would have been 5 stars had it been maybe $40 (it was $17 in 2012). An Italian couple had a whole lobster for $65! Omg it was a rip off, they probably had never had lobster as Rome is landlocked n there's no lobster anywhere in Europe, with tax n tips it was $150 for 2 so if you can afford it, this is the place to have lobsters.
